Jovana Petrović is an associate at Zunic Law Firm Novi Sad. She joined the team in October 2018, after she obtained a Master’s degree at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Law with a master’s thesis entitled “Violent non-state actors as a threat to international peace and security”.
Throughout studies, Jovana was among the best students in her generation and was awarded highest grades in most of the subjects. Jovana showed special interest in the field of international law.
Jovana was a scholar of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. She has been awarded multiple times, including Special University Awards for Academic Excellence. Jovana competed in some of the most prestigious competitions in areas of international criminal law and human rights law. In 2016, her team won the first place at the International Criminal Court competition in the Hague. Also, she was awarded Captain Miša Anastasijević Award for the promotion of Serbia and its education.
Jovana completed an internship at Basic and Higher Court in Novi Sad, as well as at the Office of Ombudsman of the Republic of Serbia. She participated in the Legal Clinic for Refugees and Model United Nations.
Prior to working at Zunic Law Firm, Jovana worked at the State Attorney’s Office.
She speaks English fluently.
