At the invitation of the Centre, Partner Tijana \u017duni\u0107 Mari\u0107 participated in the first session dedicated to these present topics.<\/p>\n<p>Since its establishment in 2010, Public Policy Research Centre has become one of the most relevant think-tank organizations through its extensive research and public advocacy, which deals with issues such as the future of work in Serbia, inclusive security and the creation of sustainable partnerships focused on social change, among others.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Center\u2019s research data, during 2020, 9% of the workforce in Serbia has shifted to remote work, and while we await the updated official data for 2021, it is believed that this number is even higher. This practice has enabled employers to monitor their employees with various information and communication solutions. Based on the results of the new research conducted by the Public Policy Research Center, it can be concluded that employers and employees are not yet aware of their rights and obligations related to remote work. The mentioned research also showed that 75% of workers who work remotely are not aware that their performance is monitored remotely.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section av-23ouy8n-5b929f53324d6a22be5cb65ab352cd14\">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock linkz\">\n<p>During the session, Partner <a href=\"https:\/\/zuniclaw.com\/en\/akz\/tijana-zunic-maric\/\">Tijana \u017duni\u0107 Mari\u0107<\/a> spoke together with Danilo Krivokapi\u0107, the director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharefoundation.info\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SHARE Foundation<\/a>, on the legal regulation of employee monitoring in Serbia.<\/p>\n<p>The list of esteemed speakers included, among others, Zlatko Petrovi\u0107, Assistant Secretary-General at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.poverenik.rs\/sr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection<\/a>, Nevena Ru\u017ei\u0107 from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fosserbia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Open Society Foundation Serbia,<\/a> and Stefan Todi\u0107, legal representative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nezavisnost.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nezavisnost Trade Union Confederation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"avia-testimonial-wrapper av-l098gyme-e535db2d36f8aa6aaa8411efe0c8ed46 avia-grid-testimonials avia-grid-2-testimonials avia_animate_when_almost_visible av-minimal-grid-style avia_start_animation\">\n<section class=\"avia-testimonial-row\">\n<div class=\"avia-testimonial av-v43l53-a779ec09d0165b94f0d832ec70d4dfbd avia-testimonial-row-1 avia-first-testimonial flex_column no_margin av_one_half avia_start_animation\">\n<div class=\"avia-testimonial_inner\">\n<div class=\"avia-testimonial-content av_inherit_color\">\n<div class=\"avia-testimonial-markup-entry-content\">\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cCombining work from home and the office is not regulated in detail in Serbia. International tendencies are such that many countries are now, in the post-Covid-19 phase, revising their national legislation and it is likely to occur some kind of harmonization in the sense that all laws will regulate this issue more deeply. We have only two Articles in the Employment Law that specify this matter, and for now, our aw currently recognizes only either-or policy, either you work outside the employer\u2019s premises or you work at the employer\u2019s premises.
