Answers to the most frequent questions
No, we do not employ lawyers only.
At Zunic Law we also welcome professionals from different backgrounds – people who bring new knowledge, fresh ideas and perspectives that push the boundaries of legal practice.
If you want to contribute to business development, office management, or to bring in expertise from your own field as a consultant, here you have room to make a real impact.
Yes. Through Zunic Law Elevate Lab, we offer programmes focused on:
AI training and working with modern tools,
legal and business skills,
soft skills,
the English language,
wellbeing and leadership development.
We also learn about the law of the future and how to use AI in everyday practice.
Our main goal is for trainees to gain as much experience and independence as possible during their traineeship. In the office we maintain an “open door” policy, which means that trainees and lawyers are in constant contact to resolve any uncertainties, but also to discuss ideas and new solutions. Our aim is to make sure the voice of our youngest team members is heard, which clearly shows our intention to pass responsibility on to them as well. We provide our junior colleagues with mentoring support and feedback at work in order to advance their professional development.
Yes, especially at the beginning.
We believe a lawyer develops expertise best by exploring several areas and then specialising in the one that suits them most. For senior colleagues the work is more specialised, but there is still room for multidisciplinary projects.
We create a clear Career Roadmap, which includes:
expectations at the Senior Associate / Managing Associate level,
defined goals in terms of skills, leadership and expertise,
the possibility of building your own practice area,
taking part in business development work with the partners,
a direct impact on the firm’s strategy.
The path to senior positions is transparent and results-based, not based on years spent in the office.
Absolutely.
At Zunic Law, partnership is not “a title awarded over time”, but the result of excellence, responsibility and a continuous contribution to the firm.
We have a transparent path to partnership, which involves:
outstanding quality of work and legal thinking,
the ability to lead complex projects,
developing and mentoring the team,
taking ownership of clients and practices,
an active contribution to the firm’s growth and reputation,
strategic thinking and the creation of long-term value.
Partnership is a realistic option for those who demonstrate professional excellence, integrity and leadership, and who want to build the next generation of legal practice together with us
Our seniors work on strategic and complex legal matters, including transactions, regulation in the fields of technology and innovation, complex contracts, cross-border projects and AI & Tech law topics.
From day one they have the opportunity to lead cases, coordinate teams and communicate directly with key clients.
Absolutely.
If you want to develop a particular niche, you will get the support and the resources to build it.
We expect seniors to have an opinion, a proposal and a vision, and we actively encourage that.
In short, all candidates who studied or trained abroad are more than welcome.
If you completed your undergraduate studies at one of the law faculties in Serbia and then trained abroad (through a master’s degree, doctoral studies, summer schools, courses…), you can follow the regular career path in our firm from trainee to lawyer (junior or senior) all the way to a partner position.
If a candidate completed their undergraduate studies at a law faculty abroad, the career path in our firm depends on that candidate’s right to become an attorney in the Republic of Serbia. If the candidate does not hold such a right, they can follow an alternative career path as a consultant in the legal team, or join one of the non-legal teams (depending on their affinities and wishes), which can also lead all the way to a partner position.
In any case, we are open to all candidates who are motivated and willing to work in a team.
Our firm works predominantly with international clients, which is why a high level of English is a necessary condition for applying.
Still, we often see that candidates underestimate their own knowledge, so our advice is: apply, and leave the assessment of your English level to us.
