1. About this Website and about us
The Website is a presentation website of:
Zunic Law Firm with its seat in Novi Sad, registered with the Bar Association of Vojvodina; and
Zunic Law Firm with its seat in Belgrade, registered with the Belgrade Bar Association,
together referred to as Zunic Law, we, us, or our.
Zunic Law Firm Novi Sad and Zunic Law Firm Belgrade are not branches, representative offices, or similar forms of joint organization. They function completely independently, in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Serbia. Neither law firm is liable for the acts or omissions of the other.
Attorneys at law who are not registered with either law firm are independent service providers cooperating with one of the law firms. We are not liable for services provided by such independent service providers.
The terms "partner" and "managing partner" refer to members of one of the law firms, or to consultants and independent attorneys at law with equivalent professional qualifications or professional status in Serbia. The use of any other job title does not imply an employment relationship or a similar relationship with either law firm.
Nothing on our Website is created with the aim of soliciting clients or advertising services, and nothing on it should be construed as such. We welcome queries and may, at our discretion and upon email request, supply a list of clients and projects we have been involved in.

8. Text and data mining, and artificial intelligence training
We expressly reserve all rights in the Content for the purposes of text and data mining, machine learning, and the development, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, or grounding of artificial intelligence systems and models, including generative artificial intelligence systems.
This constitutes an express reservation of rights within the meaning of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market, and under any equivalent provision of applicable law. Any such use requires our prior written consent.
This reservation applies in addition to, and does not limit, the restrictions set out in clause 7.
For the avoidance of doubt, this reservation does not restrict the retrieval of the Website for the sole purpose of presenting search or answer results that attribute the Content to Zunic Law and link to the source page on our Website.
9. Intellectual property rights
Unless otherwise indicated in this Agreement, all Content on our Website, including but not limited to blogs and news posts, is protected by the intellectual property rights of the attorneys at law and other associates of one of the law firms.

Certain parts of our Website may contain links to Third-Party Sites. Each of those sites may have its own terms of use and its own privacy policy, which may differ significantly from ours. We have no control over such sites and carry no responsibility for their availability, their content, or the terms of use and privacy policy that apply to their visitors and users.
Where we enable access to data from another service provider through a link, we carry no responsibility for that information.

The Materials are published for general information purposes only and are subject to clause 5. They reflect the position at the time of publication and may not reflect subsequent changes in law or practice.

You can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions in the footer of each newsletter email. In that case, your personal data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
12.3 Consultation bookings
The booking feature on our Website allows you to request a consultation with Zunic Law. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee the availability of a specific attorney and does not establish an attorney-client relationship prior to a formal written engagement. Every prospective engagement is subject to our conflict of interest check.
Clause 6 applies to any information you provide when booking a consultation.
We are not liable for any damage arising from missed, rescheduled, or cancelled consultations, including any loss of time, business opportunities, or potential legal rights. These Terms of Use do not govern any legal consultation or future collaboration that may result from a booking made through the Website.
13. Personal data and cookies
We process personal data collected through the Website as described in our Privacy Policy, which includes our Cookie Policy and forms part of this Agreement. The Privacy Policy identifies the controllers of your personal data, the purposes and legal bases of processing, the recipients of the data, the retention periods, and the rights available to you.

16. Limitation of liability
The information on our Website is provided free of charge and for information purposes only. The Website and the Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties and representations, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, timeliness, completeness, non-infringement, and fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits our liability for:
death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
intent or gross negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of the Republic of Serbia or, where applicable, under the mandatory law of your country of habitual residence.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising under or in connection with the use of, or the inability to use, our Website, the Content, or any information, material, or opinion held on or accessed through our Website, including:
- any loss or damage not caused by a breach on our part;
- business losses, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss in production;
- loss of a commercial or business opportunity, saving, or discount;
- indirect, consequential, or special losses or damage, including any loss or damage that was foreseeable when these Terms of Use were formed; and
- any loss or damage caused to your computer programs, platform, or data arising in connection with your use of our Website.

The attorneys at law of Zunic Law are subject to the Law on Advocacy of the Republic of Serbia, to the Statute and the Code of Professional Ethics of Attorneys at Law, and to the supervision of the Bar Association of Vojvodina in respect of the law firm in Novi Sad, and of the Belgrade Bar Association in respect of the law firm in Belgrade.
If you have a complaint about the Website, please contact us using the details in clause 25. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
19. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or, if that is not possible, it shall be deemed deleted. The invalidity of such a provision does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which remain in full force and effect.
20. No waiver
Our failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy, and does not prevent us from exercising it later.
21. Assignment
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under this Agreement to a successor or an affiliated entity. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our prior written consent.
22. Language
These Terms of Use are published in Serbian and in English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Serbian version prevails.
23. Governing law and dispute resolution
This Agreement, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, is governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Any dispute arising out of this Agreement shall be settled by the competent court in Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in a jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer protection law grants you a different forum, the paragraph above does not deprive you of the protection of those mandatory provisions, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
24. Entire agreement
This Agreement, as amended from time to time, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us relating to its subject matter, and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings between you and us with respect to that subject matter.
