On June 12, 2019, under the organization of eTrustmark.rs, the eTrustmark Day 5 was held on the topic “Counseling e-traders on current topics and problems they face in practice”, at the premises of Asseco SEE Serbia in Belgrade.
Partner Tijana Žunić Marić responded to the invitation to give a talk before Zunic Law Firm, and had the opportunity to speak on the topic “Novelties in the Law on Personal Data Protection relating to E-commerce Stores”. During the talk, the participants had the opportunity to hear about the novelties the new Law on Personal Data Protection brings to e-commerce stores, obligations that the new Law introduces, how to harmonize the business of the e-commerce store with the new Law, as well as under which conditions GDPR applies to e-commerce in Serbia.
The eTrustmark Day 5 gathered around 70 e-traders, ranging from representatives of smaller companies that are just starting their business in the e-commerce ecosystem, to international companies who use e-commerce as one of the main business channels.
Apart from the new Law on Personal Data Protection, the participants had the opportunity to hear more on the inspection of e-commerce stores, as well as on the security of e-commerce stores from the members of the market inspection department of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
Zunic Law Firm strongly supports events aimed to raise the awareness of the new Law, as well as emphasize the significance of harmonizing the procedures and business with the new Law on Personal Data Protection, which, we remind you, starts with its application as of August 21, 2019.
