On November 21, 2024, the IT4Business conference was held at Lake Palić, organized by the Subotica IT Cluster. The event theme focused on “Personal Data Protection in the Digital Age,” with a special emphasis on legal regulations and adapting to the rapid development of digital technologies.
The conference brought together experts in data protection and digital security, as well as representatives from small, medium, and large companies, to exchange ideas and experiences regarding digital transformation, privacy protection, and regulatory compliance.
Partner Tijana Žunić Marić, and attorneys Jelena Đukanović and Anja Berić contributed to discussions on key legal aspects of digitalization, providing insights into how legal regulations affect the implementation of IT solutions.
Tijana Žunić Marić gave a presentation on the topic of “Privacy by Design: Implementing Data Protection in Product Development and Business Processes,” explaining how privacy protection can be integrated into all aspects of business, with a focus on practical strategies for integrating data protection into software development, customer interactions, and daily workflows.
Jelena Đukanović focused on “International Data Transfers,” exploring the complexities faced by medium-sized IT companies when transferring data internationally. She considered key business challenges, including navigating various data protection regulations, such as the GDPR, as well as regulatory requirements in different jurisdictions.
Anja Berić spoke about “Artificial Intelligence and Data Privacy,” providing insights into how companies can responsibly introduce innovations while remaining compliant with the GDPR and new privacy regulations.
The conference allowed participants to learn about current trends in digitalization, the challenges and mistakes often encountered during the transformation process, and the benefits digitalization brings to business operations. The event was held under the patronage of the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program between Hungary and Serbia and is part of the INNOHUB project.
