Zunic Law @ Conference on Technology & Law in London

16/05/2017

Since Zunic Law Firm strives to become the most innovative law firm in the region and since we have developed niche specialization in IT law, our representatives, Tijana Žunić Marić and Nemanja Žunić, attended one more conference on cutting edge legal areas, which was held in London. The name of the conference was “Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Technology and the Law” and it was held on 10 May 2017 at Hamton & Williams. The organizer of the event was English Society for Computers and Law who has put together an exciting panel of technologists and lawyers to discuss Big Data, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and the law.

The seminar covered some of the hot topics such as the role of the lawyers relating to new and cutting edge Big Data and Artificial Intelligence related initiatives. One of the issues discussed was also the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation on Big Data technologies and processes.

The speakers at the seminar were Trevor Callaghan, General Counsel at DeepMind, the world leader in artificial intelligence research, Will Becker and Liam Gilchrist, Co-Founders of Lexical Labs, as well as Helen Woollett, a Director at Global Head of Data Privacy at a multinational banking and financial services company, Barclays.

Members of Zunic Law Firm have recently participated at another prestigious conference “New Models for Outsourcing”, also in London. Since we are convinced that the legal profession will be greatly influenced by the new technological developments in the coming years, we are constantly following international legal trends to be able to stand at the forefront of the new legal era in this part of Europe.
