Tamara Zavišić is a Consultant at Zunic Law specializing in Artificial Intelligence Law.

She is dedicated to ensuring AI systems comply with regulatory requirements and international standards, with a particular focus on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. As a risk management and AI ethics specialist, and founder of ETIK.AI, Tamara combines legal expertise with technical knowledge to help organizations design, evaluate, and validate AI systems, prepare compliance documentation, manage risks, and build capacity through training.

Tamara brings extensive experience at the intersection of law, software quality assurance, and compliance management. After working in software quality control and automated testing, she developed specialized expertise in AI quality evaluation—integrating technical checks with legal and ethical assessments of AI behavior. At IWConnect, she was among the first in the region to establish structured practices for AI testing and compliance.

She is the author of the first complete Serbian translation of the EU AI Act, making this complex regulation more accessible to legal and business communities. She also co-authored a handbook for conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) in the AI context, a practical tool for teams engaged in risk identification and compliance. Methodologically, she developed the “Agile Compliance” framework, embedding legal and ethical standards directly into development cycles, offering teams actionable mechanisms instead of abstract guidelines.

As a researcher, she has led projects addressing the environmental footprint of AI infrastructure, privacy policy analysis of major platforms, and experimental ethical audits of large language models. These projects connect technical, legal, and societal perspectives, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, transparency, and accountability in AI.

Beyond her research and methodology work, Tamara is an active contributor to the professional community. As the initiator of “AI over Beer,” she created a space for open and expert discussions on responsible AI. She frequently speaks and participates in panels at international conferences, including ZINC (keynote, 2024), ML Conference, REBEC, YUINFO/ICIST, and the International Lawyers Congress, sharing practical insights and research findings with professional audiences.

Tamara is fluent in English (C1) and speaks French at an intermediate level (B2).

Her core skills include responsible AI implementation, ethical and legal evaluations, compliance and risk management, quality assurance and automation, agile project management, research, and public speaking.

She is a member of the Serbian AI Society, ISACA Belgrade Chapter, Nexus, Context, and the Responsible AI Institute.
