Biography
She advises organisations as a consultant on AI governance and on the implementation of ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for artificial intelligence management systems, from initial gap assessment through to certification readiness.
She specialises in aligning artificial intelligence systems with regulatory requirements and international standards, with a particular focus on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. As an expert in risk management and the ethical application of artificial intelligence, and the founder of ETIK.AI, she combines legal expertise with technical experience, supporting organisations in development planning, in the evaluation and validation of AI systems, in drafting documentation and procedures, in risk management and in building capacity through training.
She has years of experience at the intersection of law, software quality assurance and compliance management. After working in quality control and automated software testing, she developed expertise in the quality control and evaluation of AI systems, combining technical checks with legal and ethical assessment of how AI models behave. As a consultant at IWConnect she was among the first in the region to establish a practice of formal testing and alignment of artificial intelligence systems.
Among her most significant projects, she is the author of the first complete translation of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act into Serbian, which opened up a complex piece of regulation to the professional and business community. She is also co-author of a handbook on data protection impact assessments (DPIA) in the context of AI systems, a practical tool for teams working on risk identification and compliance. Methodologically, she developed an “agile compliance” framework that builds legal and ethical standards consistently into development cycles and processes, offering teams applicable mechanisms rather than general guidance.
As a researcher she has carried out projects covering the environmental footprint of AI infrastructure, an analysis of the privacy policies of leading platforms, and experimental ethical audits of large language models. This work connects technical, legal and social questions, with particular emphasis on sustainability, transparency and accountability in the development and use of technology.
Alongside her methodological and research work she contributes actively to the professional community. As the initiator of the “AI na pivo” events she created a space for expert but informal exchange on the responsible use of artificial intelligence. She appears regularly as a lecturer and panellist at international gatherings, among them ZINC (keynote in 2024), ML Conference, REBEC, YUINFO/ICIST and the International Congress of Lawyers.
